Position Overview
The Institutional Research VP will lead the research team, providing high-quality investment
insights, sector analysis, and stock recommendations to institutional clients. The role requires
strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to enhance the firm’s research
capabilities, market reputation, improves ratings.
Key Responsibilities
- o Contribute to idea generation for proprietary trading and institutional sales Key Requirements
- Research Leadership & Strategy
o Develop and execute a comprehensive research strategy aligned with market
trends and institutional client needs.
o Oversee the research team’s coverage across various sectors, ensuring timely
and actionable insights.
o Maintain high-quality research output, ensuring accuracy and compliance with
industry standards. - Equity Research & Analysis
o Conduct in-depth fundamental and macroeconomic research to generate
investment ideas from team.
o Review and refine financial models, valuation methodologies, and industry
trends.
o Monitor corporate earnings, policy changes, and global market movements
that impact investment decisions. - Client Engagement & Presentations
o Present research findings to institutional clients, including fund managers,
hedge funds, and FIIs.
o Develop strong relationships with key institutional clients, understanding their
research needs and preferences.
o Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor meets, and ccorporate - events.
- Team Management & Development
o Lead, mentor, and develop a team of equity research analysts across multiple
sectors.
o Ensure skill enhancement through training, workshops, and knowledgesharing sessions.
o Establish a high-performance culture within the research team. - Collaboration with Sales & Trading
o Work closely with the Institutional Sales and Trading teams to align research
insights with client requirements.
o Support sales efforts by providing market insights, stock calls, and thematic
reports - Education: NISM Certification MBA (Finance) / CFA / CA or equivalent
- qualification.
- Experience: 5+ years in equity research, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial modelling, valuation techniques, and
- sector-specific trends.
- Skills:
- o Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
