Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures
- Coordinate all audit activity. Ensures timely closure of finance audit recommendations, participates in preparation, implementation, and monitoring of corrective action plans
- Consistently analyse financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of the financial status
- Assist leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
- Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant period
- Collate financial reporting materials for government
- Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working in partnership with the respective stakeholders
- Continuously collaborate with respective stakeholders to assess the financial efficacy of promotional activities and establish finance and administrative systems to support program operations
- Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guideline
- Collaborate & manage relationships with software installation team and selecting and overseeing software installations
- Assist by translating complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
Qualification & Experience
- An Undergraduate or Post Graduate / Master’s degree in Commerce / Finance or a related Finance field is highly desirable. Professional certifications like CA, CFA, or CMA can be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience with atleast 10 years in responsible leadership role as Finance Controller.
- Candidates having extensive exposure to retail, warehousing, logistics and manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Previous experience working in international setup will have an added advantage.
