About the role:
This position is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring
financial health, and driving strategic financial direction. The role will oversee accounting,
finance, forecasting, and risk management, while also collaborating with other executives to
align financial goals with overall business objectives. Key responsibilities include financial
planning, budgeting, reporting, analysis, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis:Developing and executing financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts.
- Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliant with accounting standards and regulations – Location-Wise / Entity-Wise monthly, quarterly, half yearly & yearly
- Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating financial risks, including market volatility and supply chain issues
- Cash Flow Management: Overseeing and optimizing cash flow to ensure financial stability and profitability.
- Strategic Financial Guidance: Providing financial expertise and insights to support strategic decision-making by the executive team.
- Capital Structure & Financing: Managing capital structure, including debt and equity financing, to optimize financial efficiency.
- Investor Relations: Maintaining relationships with investors and reporting on financial performance.
- Team Leadership: Overseeing and managing the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and streamline financial operations. Implement controls to plug loopholes which will improve the financial health of the organization.
- Ad Hoc Project Support: Assisting with various ad hoc projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, developments and amendments in ERP modules and new initiatives.
Qualification & Experience
- An Undergraduate or Postgraduate / Master’s degree in Commerce / Finance or a related Finance field is highly desirable. Professional certifications like CA, CFA, or CMA will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 20 years of experience with at least 5 years in a responsible leadership role as Finance Head / Group Finance Head / Chief Financial Officer.
- Candidates having extensive exposure to retail, warehousing, logistics and manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Previous experience working in international setup will have an added advantage.
